Eyring ("the app") measures how a room responds to sound. It records a test sweep played through your own speakers, works out the room's impulse response from that recording, and reports reverberation time and related figures. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no telemetry of any kind.
Eyring asks for microphone access the first time you record a take. The recording is held in memory on your iPhone only for as long as it takes to analyse it, and is discarded when you record another take or close the app. Recordings are never written to storage and never transmitted anywhere. When you save a take, only its analysed results are kept, on the device. You can revoke access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone.
The app stores the following locally, in its own sandbox:

Saved takes can be deleted one by one in the app. All of these are removed when you uninstall the app. Like the rest of the app's data, they are included in your device's own iCloud or computer backup if you use one.
A WAV file is created only when you tap one of the Export sweep buttons. It contains the test signal and nothing else: no recording, no measurement, no information about you or your device. It is handed to the iOS share sheet and goes only where you send it. We never see it.
Nothing. Eyring makes no network connections of its own. There are no third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising networks, and nothing is sent to us.
Eyring does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
